Free interview answer recorder.

Get a common interview question, answer it out loud for up to a minute, and see your words per minute, fillers and hedges.

Your question
“Tell me about yourself.”
Up to 60 seconds. Speak normally.

How to use it

  1. Read the question and take five seconds to pick your first sentence. Make it your point.
  2. Answer out loud as if the interviewer were in front of you. Aim for 45 to 60 seconds.
  3. Check your pace and fillers, then answer the same question again and compare.

Each question has a full guide with a structure and example answers, for instance tell me about yourself and your greatest weakness. See all interview questions.

What good looks like

Your first sentence answers the question. You give one specific example with a result. You finish on purpose rather than trailing off. Your pace sits around 130 to 170 words per minute, and fillers don't pile up before your key line.

The test uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, which in Chrome, Edge and Safari is processed by the browser maker's speech service. Nothing is saved by Ace Coach.
